Each year, the U.S. Small Business Administration honors local small businesses and entrepreneurs for their contributions to the economic well-being of our country. Small Business Week was established in 1963 in order to recognize the importance of small businesses, and to reward those who have made a positive impact on their communities. More than half of all Americans work for, or own, one of the 27.2 million small businesses in our country. Small businesses are responsible for 60-80 percent of all new job growth, making them vital to the backbone of our economy.
This year, we’re excited to announce that our very own John McCabe has been named as a Small Business Person of the Year Finalist! He was one of only two finalists for the year. We are very proud to have John representing the Santa Ana district of California, as well as McCabe’s Landscape Construction, as a leading businessman in our community.
Along with the other honorees, John will celebrate his recognition at the 2014 Small Business Awards luncheon on May 21 at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel in Anaheim. Congratulations, John!
John and his family are profoundly grateful to the hundreds of customers we have had the pleasure of serving for the past eleven years. Without the homeowners we work with every day, what we do would have no meaning. Knowing we were working to “design, build, and maintain your personal paradise” kept us motivated during the most trying of times. From our family to yours, thank you!
